Easy SCD Maple Candies
Do you ever feel like you just want a hard candy to suck on?
If you do, but are on the SCD diet, options can be limiting, so here is a delicious candy, that I hope you enjoy!

SCD Maple Candies
SCD Maple Candies
Ready in 2 hours
Yields 18 hard candies
Ingredients
- 2 cups pure Maple syrup
Preparation
- In a large pot, put maple syrup on high to boil until it is bubbling, and stir continuously
- Put in your candy thermometer, and cook until it reaches 275 degrees Fahrenheit, and then remove from stove, all the while mixing.
- Pour the syrup into a glass bowl, with a spout, and continue to mix
- Pour the syrup (which is hot so be careful) into your molds
- Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes
- Put into fridge for 5 minutes
- Pop out of the molds and enjoy!
Tips
If you cook it for too long, it's not the end of the world, it will just have a different consistency.
