Easy SCD Maple Candies

Do you ever feel like you just want a hard candy to suck on?
If you do, but are on the SCD diet, options can be limiting, so here is a delicious candy, that I hope you enjoy!

SCD Maple Candies
Ready in 2 hours
Yields 18 hard candies


  • 2 cups pure Maple syrup


  1. In a large pot, put maple syrup on high to boil until it is bubbling, and stir continuously
  2. Put in your candy thermometer, and cook until it reaches 275 degrees Fahrenheit, and then remove from stove, all the while mixing.
  3. Pour the syrup into a glass bowl, with a spout, and continue to mix
  4. Pour the syrup (which is hot so be careful) into your molds
  5. Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes
  6. Put into fridge for 5 minutes
  7. Pop out of the molds and enjoy!


If you cook it for too long, it's not the end of the world, it will just have a different consistency.
